Instrument Details

The Optima 7000 DV is an Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES) instrument from PerkinElmer designed for high-performance elemental analysis of aqueous and other sample types. It uses a plasma to excite atoms, which then emit light; the system measures the intensity of that light at characteristic wavelengths to determine elemental concentrations.

Capabilities

Determines the elemental composition of most metal and metalloid elements in aqueous samples down to about 0.01mg/L.
