Food Pantry

The HuskyFAN Pantry is located on the first floor of Fisher Hall. You can find us in the space formerly known as the Aftermath Cafe.

Upcycled Food Operations (UFO)

Chartwells is partnering with HuskyFAN to provide Upcycled Food Operations (UFO), ready to eat meals from the Wadsworth dining hall that are redistributed to the pantry in Fisher and the SDC refrigerator (second floor lounge). These meals are refrigerated and/or frozen, and can easily be reheated at your convenience. These meals are replenished on a weekly basis as supplies last.

Meal Swipes

Chartwells is partnering with HuskyFAN to make meal credits available to students in need. Unused swipes donated by Chartwells can be transferred to the cards of students upon request, to be used at Michigan Tech dining halls.

Meal swipes can be requested through Experience. Under the Housing & Dining card there is a link for HuskyFAN Donate or Request Meals. In order to serve as many students as possible, 1 meal swipe/week with a 15/semester maximum may be requested per student. Students may use one meal swipe per day and cannot request more swipes until all current meals on the student's card have been used. The meal swipes are valid for 14 days upon receiving them and if not used within that time are returned to the queue for other students to request.

Emergency Meal Packs

If you need food now, please stop by Public Safety and Police Services (206 MacInnes Drive, opposite Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity) and request a meal pack. All requests are kept anonymous. Packs are small enough to fit in your backpack for privacy. Public Safety is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If it is after normal business hours, just pick up the telephone in the yellow box outside of the building to be immediately connected to someone inside.
