In the 2018-19 school year, the Husky Food Access Network distributed over 1800 pounds of food to our campus community. We also provided students with meal passes, brown bag lunches, emergency meal packets and hosted meal pack giveaways. We are grateful for the generosity of the community so that assistance can be provided where it’s needed.
You can bring unopened, non-perishable items to the Pantry, which is located on the first floor of Fisher Hall during pantry hours. Donated items may also be left with the staff of the Center for Diversity and Inclusion, Campus Store or University Images. If you have a large donation, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to coordinate.
Note: Due to our current license, we cannot shelve outdated items. If you have outdated items that you are looking to donate, please contact Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly, the Salvation Army or the Western Upper Peninsula Food Bank to see if they accept those items.
Throughout the year we'll also conduct periodic food drives to restock our shelves.
The Husky Food Access Network operates solely on donations. Any money contributed is used to stock food when supplies are running low, to keep the Pantry running smoothly, and to help with our educational programs. If you’re interested in donating to Husky FAN, please fill out our online giving form. Or send your check to the Michigan Tech Fund, 1400 Townsend Drive, Houghton, MI 49931 and indicate that you want your gift to support HuskyFAN.
Sign up to volunteer in the Pantry by filling out the volunteer form. We appreciate your willingness to dedicate time to Husky FAN and will contact you as volunteers are needed!
Host a Food Drive

Some members of our community don’t know where their next meal is coming from. Thanks for joining us to eliminate food insecurity!
