Biography
Kaitlin L. Henderson joined the Office of General Counsel in December 2025. Her primary
responsibility includes supporting the General Counsel on a variety of legal affairs,
including legal risk management, compliance with federal and state regulations, and
University policies.
A licensed attorney in Michigan, Henderson brings significant strengths to the Office
of General Counsel. While in law school, she was a member of MSU Law’s highly competitive
Trial Practice Institute and International Law Review. Her previous experience includes the Michigan Department of Attorney General, the
Michigan Governor’s Office of Legal Counsel, The Nature Conservancy, Michigan Poverty
Law Program, DTE, and Development Counsellors International, a leading economic development
marketing firm.
Henderson received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Ross
School of Business at the University of Michigan and her juris doctorate from Michigan
State University College of Law.
