Approved Food Services Providers

To strengthen and promote safe handling, preparation, and distribution of food, and to help reduce excess liability, all food distributed or sold on campus must be furnished by Michigan Tech Dining Services unless otherwise authorized by the Office of General Counsel through a policy exception request.

The following vendors have previously provided proof of insurance and licensing and may offer food service through a policy exception request and by providing current proof. Policy Exceptions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis by emailing risk@mtu.edu.

Currently, no establishments have provided up-to-date licensing and insurance documents.

If you wish to have your event catered by an outside catering service, contact risk@mtu.edu or complete the form linked below to request a 1.08 Food Policy exception.

Once the exception is approved, the event host will contact the establishment to request a copy of its current Food Service License and a Certificate of Insurance listing Michigan Tech as the insured.
