The Energy and Thermofluids (ETF) Group performs research and testing in a multidisciplinary field focused on how energy is generated, stored, and moved. At its core, it combines the principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer to solve complex engineering challenges. Our team of researchers work on everything from improving the efficiency of IC engines, automotive cooling systems, chip cooling, to characterizing lithium-ion battery thermal run-away. The APS LABS team of engineers and scientists have the capability to measure, characterize and model from a fundamental physics level up to fully integrated systems.
