1 Tuition costs are based on 12–18 credits per semester. If you come as a reciprocal exchange student, your home university may cover tuition costs. Students attending summer semesters are charged a per-credit rate.
2 Students who have earned 60 or more credits are charged the upper-division tuition rate. Check out our University financial aid office for more details.
3 Room and board rates vary depending on hall assignment and meal plan selection. Please visit University housing for specific rates. First-year and ESL students are required to live on campus.
4 All international students must have health insurance while enrolled at Michigan Tech. Students are not required to purchase the Michigan Tech health insurance policy if they provide proof of comparable coverage from their home country.
5 Required fees per semester include:
- $60 Fall and Spring Activity Fee
- $90 Fall and Spring Experience Tech Fee (not assessed in summer)
6 International students pay a $200 per semester surcharge (excluding summer semester).
7 There is a one-time orientation fee:
- $250 for first-year students and students transferring less than 30 credits
- $75 for exchange students and students transferring more than 30 credits
Tuition and fees are based on costs for the 2016–2017 Academic Year and are subject to change without notice upon approval of the Michigan Tech Board of Trustees.
