Apply for Undergraduate Admission
No Application Fee, Rolling Admissions
Michigan Technological University is a premier university of international stature, delivering education, new knowledge, and innovation to meet the needs of our technological world. Michigan Tech graduates have the skills and knowledge that allow them to create the future and change the world.
Admission to Michigan Tech is selective. Only students who have demonstrated the ability to succeed in a competitive and rigorous academic environment will be admitted. Because of the complexity of evaluating grade equivalencies, students with academic promise are encouraged to submit an application with as much supporting documentation as possible—statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, ACT or SAT scores (if taken), and descriptions of courses taken. There are no application deadlines and applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Admission decisions are generally made within 14 business days (excluding weekends) after all application materials have been received. Applicants can check their status through MyMichiganTech account. While there are no application deadlines, students are encouraged to apply at least 4 months before the start of each semester in order to have sufficient time to complete their visa and travel preparations. Below are recommended deadlines:
|Semester||Recommended Completed Application Due Date|
|Summer 2013 - ESL program (27 June - 12 August)||March 1|
|Incomplete applications will be kept on file for one year and may be used for admission to future terms. Students requesting deferment will be required to submit updated transcripts and financial documents.|
