Displaced Workers

Funding is also available for displaced or unemployed workers in Southeast Michigan through a State Energy Partnership Grant (SESP) for similar green jobs training. Note, this training is not directly affiliated with MAGMA but does cover some of the same content. If you are displaced and live in Southeast Michigan, you are encouraged to explore this SESP grant opportunity.

Incumbent Workers

For Winter, Summer, and Fall 2011 Semesters, grant funding is available for incumbent workers of employers who are members of MAGMA through the Southeast Michigan Community Alliance (SEMCA) to subsidize up to $1,800 per person for MAGMA endorsed training programs. For information on eligibility and how to apply for funding, contact Mr. Rey Guzman Fisher at the Workforce Development Agency 517.335.6799 or GuzmanR1@michigan.gov or Susan Corey at SEMCA at 734-229-3515 or susan.corey@semca.org.
