You’ll take part in research projects, both technical and practical, focused on everything from integrative physiology to biomechanics of human movement to the effects of sleep deprivation.
What You Need to Know About This Program
- You’ll be introduced to all the fields of exercise science during your first year, then work with an advisor to gear both your course work and internship towards your personal goal.
- You can earn a coaching endorsement certificate while you earn your exercise science degree.
- You will complete a required 3-credit internship to gain more practical experience in your field of interest—this allows you to have multiple career pathways!
We have a new Exercise Science Teaching Laboratory, Exercise Physiology Research Laboratory, and Motor Control Research Laboratory—all with state-of-the-art equipment.
After graduation, you can pursue a professional graduate degree in areas such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, physicians assistant, nursing, athletic training, medicine, and sports psychology. Or pursue immediate employment in areas such as cardiac rehabilitation, strength and conditioning coach, chiropractic, fitness coordination, personal training, or as an athletic team coach (just to name a few!).
