You might have your own room at home, but moving into the residence halls is completely different—suddenly, one room is your whole house. Below is a list of suggested items to bring with you to college.

Be sure to get in touch with your roommate(s) once you receive your housing information so you can plan for who is bringing what for your room.

If there is not enough room in your vehicle for all of your things, you can mail them to your address one week prior to your arrival. If you're starting in the fall semester, you will receive your room assignment on August 1. If you're starting in the spring semester, you'll be notified of your room assignment by the end of December. For summer sessions, you will be notified in late April. Be sure to pack your things securely in a box with the correct address.
