Graduated 1966 with BS in Metallurgical Engineering. In 1968, graduated from University of Wisconsin – Madison with MS in Metallurgical Engineering. Awarded Honorary Doctor of Engineering from Michigan Tech in 1989.
Since 2002, Paul has served as President of Metal Casting Technology. Metal Casting Technology Inc. is a General Motors Corporation (50%) and Hitchiner Manufacturing Co. Inc (50%) joint venture, research and development company. MCT is an outgrowth of Hitchiner's world-renowned Technical Center, and is located adjacent to Hitchiner in Milford, New Hampshire. The purpose of MCT is to generate useful new near-net-shape casting technology.
Prior to becoming President of MCT, Paul spent 31 years at the GM Technical Center in Warren, Michigan, during which time he hired more than 500 Michigan Tech graduates at GM.
Through the years he has served Michigan Tech as a member of the Michigan Tech Fund Board of Trustees, ME-EM Department Advancement Council, and the College of Engineering Industrial Advisory Board.
Various professional honors: AFS Gold Medal in 2000, named to Foundry Management & Technology Hall of Honor in 1999, Fellow of ASM International in 1990.
Paul and his wife Pam reside in Bedford, New Hampshire, and have two daughters, Maija, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine living in North Andover, Massachusetts, and Karen, who obtained her BS and MS degrees in Metallurgical Engineering from Michigan Tech, and is currently Manager of Strategic Planning at Mosaic Corporation in Lakeland, Florida.
