RTC Courses

Below is a partial list of the courses on offer to RTC students. The courses have been grouped together under three streams by their central focus:

  • [ R ] Rhetoric, Composition & Literacy
  • [ T ] Technological Communication & Technology Studies
  • [ C ] Communication in Cultural Contexts

Students choose two streams of study in which to focus their coursework—a major stream of study (at least three courses), a minor stream (at least two courses), and two elective courses in which students typically either take additional classes in their major or minor streams, take classes in the third stream, or to take courses from cognate departments on campus.

Courses offered vary by semester. Many of the courses engage issues that span the different streams. Some courses are cross-listed and may be counted once in either of the categories (cross-listings are indicated after the course name in square brackets).
