Transfer Assistants are current Michigan Tech transfer students who are trained to provide    peer support,  answer questions, plan networking events, and more. They can be great      resources for information, campus  news, and friendship—take a minute and get to know our  current Transfer Assistant.

Hi everyone, my name is Brittany Erickson, and I am the Transfer Assistant at the  Waino Wahtera Center for  Student Success for the 2015-2016 academic year.  I am a senior  Psychology and Exercise Science dual major.    My plan is to pursue a career in nursing after  graduating from Michigan Tech.

I transferred to Michigan Tech from a community college downstate.  During my final year at  the smaller college, I attended a Preview Day here at Michigan Tech, and was captivated by  the beautiful campus and surrounding area.  I am involved with the Pre-Health Association at Tech (PHAT), the MedLife student chapter, and Phi Sigma Biological Sciences Honors Society.  Each of these student organizations provide many opportunities to socialize with fellow students, and engage in rewarding volunteer work.

As a transfer student, I would advise those in the same situation to find their niche here on campus.  It is extremely helpful and worthwhile to become involved with a student organization, or other groups and activities, that reflect what you enjoy.

I am looking forward to meeting with incoming and current transfer students, and helping them succeed as fellow Huskies!
