Your academic career at Michigan Tech begins with Orientation. Orientation is a weeklong program designed to provide you with the information needed to be a successful student and get the most out of your college experience. Orientation is required for all new first-year students. New transfer students are required to attend a one-day program, but may opt into the weeklong program.

During Orientation you’ll spend time with fellow students, meet your advisor, explore your interests, and make decisions about your future. You’ll also discover ways to stay healthy, excel academically, get involved with research projects, become a student leader, and more.
