Transportation: Concrete Materials

Michigan Tech has existing strengths in many areas of transportation including construction materials and transportation structures, and is a national leader in education, research, and outreach in concrete science and engineering. The University is seeking candidates with an interest in developing a more durable and sustainable transportation infrastructure through innovative research and dynamic teaching. Technical expertise is encouraged in, but not limited to: concrete durability, cement chemistry, structural concrete mechanics, concrete material science, alternative binders including geopolymers, infrastructure composites and related engineering fields applicable to concrete science and engineering. The ability to integrate with other transportation focus areas to broaden existing programs at Michigan Tech is necessary.
