Organizational Structure
Dr. Glenn D. Mroz began his tenure as President of Michigan Technological University in 2004, and has the following direct reports: Vice President for Administration, Vice President for Advancement, Vice President for Government Relations, Vice President for Research, Vice President for Student Affairs, and Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs. Also reporting to the President are the Diversity Programs Director, Human Resources Director, Budget Director, and Finance Officer. The President reports to an eight-member Board of Control, which meets six times per year.
At Michigan Tech, the faculty, staff, and the administration participate cooperatively in developing policies for governance of the University. Governance is coordinated through the following organizations: Board of Control, University Senate, Staff Council, Graduate Faculty Council, Graduate Student Council, and Undergraduate Student Government.
The University consists of two Colleges, which house a variety of Departments, and three Schools. The academic units of the University are shown below:
