- Setting Expectations for Graduate Education
All graduate students are required to complete basic Responsible Conduct for Research (RCR) training. Students who are unable to attend orientation, or are completing degrees through distance programs, will be contacted early in their first semester with instructions on how to complete the training. Students who do not complete the training within their first two semesters will have a hold placed on their account and will not be eligible to enter research only mode or graduate.
The Graduate Student Government organizes events during orientation to introduce students to the area and socialize with other graduate students. All incoming students will also receive an e-mail with a schedule of orientation week events prior to their arrival.
The GTA Orientation Schedule is available on the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) website. They offer orientation prior to the start of fall semester.
Individual programs may also have orientation sessions. Please contact your graduate program director for more information.
