Diversity

Michigan Tech’s Center for Diversity and Inclusion promotes a supportive environment for your student to live, learn, and grow academically and socially. The center is committed to exploring differences through cultural, educational, and social programming activities with annual events such as the Parade of Nations, Gala Latina, the Spirit of the Harvest Powwow, Women’s Month, Black History Month, DiversiTEAS, Safe Place Program, and more.

The Center for Diversity and Inclusion assists in the recruitment, transition, and retention of historically underrepresented students. Though their outreach and support is directed toward African American, GLBTQ, Hispanic and Latino/a, Native American, and multiracial students at Michigan Tech, the services provided by the center are available to all students. Michigan Tech believes each student's unique life experiences enhance campus life and add to a complete education, and all students are invited to visit the center and participate in its events.
