Dining

Whether your student lives on- or off-campus, there are several dining options to choose from. Students living in Hillside Place are required to have a meal plan. Residential students may choose one of three meal plans, all of which include unlimited access to the Residential Dining Halls. Meal plans also include varying amounts of Dining Dollars, which can be used at Michigan Tech’s retail dining operations (for example, the Aftermath Café, Campus Café, Fusions Café, Library Café, Memorial Union Food Mall, and more). Students living off-campus have two convenient and affordable off-campus meal plan options: the Top Dog Express for meals in the all-you-care-to-eat dining halls, and the Big Dog Express for meals in our retail dining outlets.

Meal plan information is stored on your student’s Michigan Tech ID card, and extra money or meals may be added in person at the Tech Express Service Center or through the online system for parents or students.
