Welcome to Michigan Technological University! Orientation 2012 is quickly approaching, so mark your calendar! For first-year students, it begins on Sunday, August 26, 2012 and, for transfer students, it begins on Friday, August 31, 2012.
Orientation will do the following for incoming students:
- Provide students with an introduction to their academic program and advising.
- Create opportunities for new students to meet members of the campus community.
- Excite new students about being a member of the Michigan Tech community.
- Offer information and exposure to campus resources and opportunities.
- Assist new students in understanding their rights and responsibilities within their new home and academic community.
- Reflect on common new-student experiences with diversity and multiculturalism, personal wellness, independence and personal responsibility, time management, and community living.
