Summer Programs Guest Amenities Information

Internet Access

Free high speed wireless Internet service is available in all adult guest rooms. Adult guests who bring laptops may use the wirless Internet in the privacy of their room. Guests may also access the Internet wirelessly in several hot zones throughout the residence halls and the campus.

Dining Services

For summer youth program guests, dining services are conveniently provided within the residence halls. Dining services will operate daily.

  • Dinner 4PM to 6PM

Saturday through Sunday

  • Breakfast 10AM to 11AM
  • Lunch 11AM to 1PM

Fitness Center

Each residence hall has a fitness center that is available twenty-four hours each day. Both aerobic and weight training equipment stations are available in the fitness center. The fitness center is available for guests who are over the age of eighteen to use. Guests must purchase a Quad Core Fitness Club access pass.

Laundry Facilities

Laundry facilities are available in the residence halls for all guests to use. Washing machines are free to use; The dryers operate using quarters. Guests will need to bring their own laundry detergent and fabric softener.

Linens and Towels

All rooms are provided with fresh linens and towels when guests check in. Fresh linens and towels are available for exchange from the reception desk during the hours of 10:00AM to 8:00PM.

Guests who are staying in standard rooms or suite style rooms who choose to bring their own sheets will need to bring twin extra long sheets to fit mattresses 36 inches by 80 inches.

The reception desk may be able to provide extra pillows and blankets to guests that request them. Extra pillows and blankets are available on a limited basis.

Meeting Rooms

Guests who are residing on the Michigan Tech campus may request to use meeting rooms free of charge. There are multiple rooms available throughout the residence halls. Rooms should be requested in advance to guarantee room availability. Meeting room reservations for guests can be made by calling (906) 487-2682 or by emailing


Parking is available for a fee. Parking permits can be purchased through Transportation Services.


Refrigerators are provided free of charge for guests who are staying in suite style and motel suite style rooms.

Guests who are staying in standard rooms may choose to bring a refrigerator with them, but the refrigerator must not be larger than 25 inches deep by 35 inches tall.


All summer program participants are required to have an identification card while residing at Michigan Tech. Participants must keep their identification card with them at all times. A small fee is charged for the identification card. This card is also used for building access.

To ensure campus safety, the Department of Public Safety and Police Services is staffed twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week by certified law enforcement officers and dispatchers. Video surveillance is monitored by officers at DPSPS. In a non-emergency situation, DPSPS can be contacted by dialing (906) 487-2216. In case of emergency, dial 911.
