Once we have received your completed Residence Hall Application and Contract, an acknowledgement email will be sent to your Email account. This email will let you know that you are now eligible to enter the Roommate Matching Program through your MyMichiganTech.
Before finalizing your room assignment, Housing takes a close look at your housing preferences and interests, then matches them with a complementary resident.
Please note that the preferences you have chosen on your Residence Hall Application cannot be guaranteed due to possible space constraints. Assignments are determined first-come, first-served by the date we receive your completed Residence Hall Application and Contract. Also, students using the Roommate Matching Program are assigned rooms and preferences prior to those who do not use the program. Â If you choose not to use the Roommate Matching Program, you will automatically be assigned a roommate.
