Elmer Bomke

Elmer  Bomke

Mr. Bomke joined the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers following graduation and served as a combat engineer in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations. After the war, he joined Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company and in 1948 took a position with Southern Services, Inc., rising to Manager of the Electrical Design Department. Elmer accepted the position of Vice President, Electrical Operation at Gulf Power Company in Pensacola, Florida in 1969. He joined Brown & Root in 1971, serving as President of Brown & Root Development for the five years prior to his retirement in 1986. In 1982, the Michigan Tech Board of Trustees awarded him the Silver Medal.
