Engineers get top pay. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) in May 2023 engineers had a median annual wage of $91,420, which was higher than the median annual wage for all occupations of $48,060. The engineering field projects to have faster than average employment growth 2022 to 2032 with nearly 188,000 openings created each year.
