Dennis:
I enjoyed the picture of the old Houghton Train Station. It was quite a shock to me when I stepped off the train there (it was the “Copper Country Limited” from Chicago) on the 15th of September in 1949 and there was snow in the air! I had traveled from Ossining, New York for the beginning of my four terrific years at Michigan Tech (then, Michigan College of Mining and Technology). I remember many things about the years I enjoyed at “Da Tech” but the first day, stepping off the train into SNOW! is one of the strongest.
