Sign Creator’s Son Checks in

Agate Beach Sign
Agate Beach sign.

Dennis, It was my dad who did the Agate Beach sign and the Kowsit Lats sign. Thanks so much for putting that in the Alumni newsletter, a friend of mine sent me the link.

There was a fork in the road in Toivola where you could go to either Agate Beach or Misery Bay. Dad also did two signs for that fork “Dis Vai” and “Dat Vai” just to make sure people knew where to go!

The story mentions photos that were uploaded, can you send me to the link to those? If there are some other shots, I’d appreciate seeing them.

Who has the credit/ownership for the one that’s in the newsletter? Its evidence that my dad must have done at least two signs, I have an old black and white of one that was much larger, that may have been the original sign…

regards,

Alan Salmi

Alan: Bill Deephouse passed on the images and story to me. He knew your dad as “Wimpy” Salmi.
