A New Dawn at Michigan Tech

Unveiling

A New Dawn at Michigan Tech

After more than 130 years, Michigan Technological University launched its first cohesive, university-wide brand last Friday.

It includes a new logo that was revealed during a ceremony with President Glenn Mroz talking about Tech’s 2035 portrait, why our brand is important, and what it means for Michigan Tech.

Over the next 18 months, you’ll be seeing a transition in how we talk about and present the University to the world. We’re not changing just to change—and we’re not changing into something new. Our mission is the same. We’ll be presenting our best and true selves.

I think you’ll like what you see and hear.

And finally, inspiration for the new logo even stretches back over 80 years to Winter Carnival, 1936. Thanks to Bob Brown, ’53 for sharing this cool shot on our Facebook page.
