I have many memories of time spent in Tony’s. One of my favorites was on Halloween 1970. A classmate and I, both living on Douglas Heights, took our 4 yr. old sons on a bar tour downtown for “trick or treats”. Tony’s was the last stop on the way home. They bartender asked the boys to sit on bar stools, served them jiggle pop, coke and candies. They arrived home in high spirits and very happy. We arrived home in a similar manner but for different reasons because of refreshments.
