Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra
World-class Ukrainian violinist Solomiya Ivakhiv performs Tchaikovsky's electric Violin Concerto with the Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra. Copland's uniquely American Appalachian Spring Suite rounds off the KSO's 40th anniversary concert season. The Keweenaw Honors String Festival coincides with this performance, as school orchestras from throughout the Upper Peninsula come to Houghton for masterclasses with Ms. Ivakhiv.
