The Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra will return to theCalumet Theatre in October. The home of the KSO for many years becomes its home again for one night only, as the orchestra launches its 40th anniversary concert season in the historic theatre. The KSO will perform the Upper Peninsula premiere of Higdon's "Blue Cathedral," the most celebrated modern piece of our day, in addition to Elgar's haunting "Enigma Variations," which was composed the same year the Calumet Theatre was built, 1900.
