A community forum to address the effects of the anti-gay chalking incident that took place on the Michigan Tech campus April 7 will be held Wednesday, April 19, 8:00-9:30 p.m. in the DHH All Campus Lounge, located on the ground level of Douglass Houghton Hall.

Community members Bucky Beach and Julie Belew, both experienced facilitators, will lead an open conversation in which people can express their concerns, no matter what they are.

The forum is part of an ongoing response to the chalkings, and it should not be seen as a resolution. Participants will be asked to listen to what is expressed and communicate their feelings and concerns first as individuals, and then secondly, as representatives of an organization, if they choose.

The forum will not have a question-and-answer format. Given its purpose and structure, this will be a time to speak and to listen.

Members of the Michigan Tech community are welcome to attend.

The forum is being sponsored by Student Affairs. For more information, call 487-2212.Forum on Chalking Incident Set for Wednesday
