Biography

Dr. Abadi joined the department of Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics as an Assistant Professor in July 2017. Prior to joining Michigan Tech, she was an NIH Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women's Hospital. Her research interests are in the areas of mechanical behavior of materials and their applications in tissue engineering and medical devices. She received a postdoctoral research fellowship from the American Association of University Women in 2015 and was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the department of Mechanical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology in 2013-2014.
