If you’re hungry and can’t afford food, please let us help! Here are the on-campus resources available:
The Husky FAN Pantry is located in the lower level of the Hamar House Center for Diversity and Inclusion. It's open 4 - 6 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays when classes are in session.
Dining Services is partnering with Husky FAN to make these meal credits available to feed those in need. Unused swipes donated by Dining Services are transferred to the cards of students going hungry, to be used as usual at any Michigan Tech dining hall. These swipes are valid for 14 days upon receiving them and if not used within this time will return to the queue for other students to request.
Our request system has been moved to MyMichiganTech. You can request meals by going to Current Students and under Quicklinks (right hand side) there is a link for Husky FAN. You may request up to 5 meal swipes/week with a 25/semester maximum. You can use 1 meal swipe per day and cannot request more swipes until you use all of the swipes you have. Meal swipes that have been added to your card will expire after 14 days of not being used.
If you would like to check how many meal swipes you have, you may do so by logging into the Michigan Tech Card Services Center.
Have questions? Contact us (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Students may receive up to five guest swipes per week and 25 swipes per semester. Only one meal swipe may be used per day.
Emergency Meal Packs
If you need food now, please stop by Michigan Tech Public Safety on MacInnes Drive. Staff there can immediately provide a meal packet. Public Safety is open 24/7. All requests for emergency meal packets are kept anonymous. The packets are designed to be small enough to fit in your bag or backpack for your privacy.
