Ford Center Conference Facility

The Center makes a perfect hub for exploring the beautiful western Upper Peninsula where year-round recreational opportunities are. Features of the property include Lake Plumbago, Canyon Falls, and vast forest lands. The recreational hall is equipped with ping-pong, air hockey, pool, weight equipment, and a TV lounge. Other on-site activities include outdoor basketball, volleyball, tennis, horseshoes, canoeing and year-round fishing. The Historic Ford Sawmill and museum also onsite.

Accommodations

Lodging options include dorm rooms, a converted schoolhouse and four of Alberta’s original homes. Each option has shared bathroom facilities and most rooms are double occupancy—single beds. Rooms come with basic housekeeping and include sheets, blankets, towels, pillow and soap. Phones and televisions are provided in common areas. The recreation hall, canoes, sauna and a washer and dryer are also available upon request. Houses come with full kitchen; no cooking utensils are supplied.

Meeting Space

The Ford Center offers modern conference facilities for events, such as a meeting, retreat, conference, or reunion. Spaces range from the large conference rooms that can seat 80 to small break out rooms that can accommodate 10. The dining hall can also be used as a meeting space and can seat 100-150.

In addition to a special technical training conference room, there are three classrooms and a computer lab. All the conference facilities have wireless Internet. A computer projector, overhead projector, slide projector, easels and DVD/VCR televisions are also available.

Dining and Catering Services

Complete meal service is available in the relaxed environment of our dining room. Home-made meals are served cafeteria-style and most include a salad bar. Our culinary staff will accommodate dietary requirements upon request. Special dining arrangements include banquet services, barbecues, theme parties, special occasion cakes, picnics, box lunches, vegetarian options, healthy choice options and hors d’oeuvres.

Conference break service is also available.


Payment

The Ford Center accepts cash, checks, Visa or MasterCard. Schools and other organizations can be invoiced, if requested. Michigan Tech groups can use account billing. 
Deposit: A 10% deposit or $100, whichever is less, is required at least two weeks prior to the event. Deposit is non-refundable if event is cancelled within 48 hours of scheduled start.
