Sarah Says . . .
Why did you choose Michigan Tech?
My dad is an alumnus so I grew up with Tech spirit. Also, of all the campuses I toured, this is the only one that felt like home to me.
How would you describe your experience at Tech so far?
The academics were definitely challenging at first, but my first year taught me how to manage my time, which has allowed me to get involved with organizations I really enjoy.
How would you describe your participation in CDI student organizations?
I got involved with the Women’s Leadership Council because I really want to help recruit more women to campus. Being a part of the Women’s Programming Committee gives me a way to help get women involved, to help them utilize everything available to them at Tech, and to provide more opportunities to them.
Why do you come to CDI?
I love that everyone is welcome at CDI. I know that if I ever need anything, there is someone here who can help me.
What would you say to a prospective student who is thinking about coming to Tech?
For a small campus, there is a lot to do that will allow you to expand your horizons. You get to know a lot of people very closely at Tech. It can be intimidating to get involved with new things, but once you take that first step it’s really easy and will make you want to get involved with other things on campus. Also, it’s easy to get around, and the snow is great!
