Brett Says . . .

Why did you choose Michigan Tech?
I chose Tech because I knew it provides an excellent education and better employment opportunities for its graduates.

How would you describe your experience at Tech so far?
While it has been challenging for me both socially and academically, I feel like I have both learned and grown a great deal. It has been a rewarding experience for me so far.

How would you describe your participation in CDI student organizations?
I have always wanted to be a part of something larger than myself, and being part of Keweenaw Pride has allowed me to be part of a community that helps people find who they are and works to make others aware of GLBTQ identities.

Why do you come to CDI?
CDI is a safe environment, so I feel like don’t have to worry about being accepted by others. I appreciate the fact that the staff embraces all of the students and celebrates our individual experiences and identities.

What would you say to a prospective student who is thinking about coming to Tech?
Nothing will be easy at Tech, but everything will be worth the effort and you will benefit tremendously from the hard work that you put into what you do here. Don’t get discouraged when things get difficult. People are nice and there are plenty of folks here to support you.
