Diversity Minor

The Michigan Tech humanities department offers a wide range of courses that explore gender and culture as well as a diversity studies minor that helps to cultivate:

  • a celebration of diversity,
  • an appreciation of difference, and
  • a commitment to equitable treatment for all people.

Women in Engineering Learning Community

The Women In Engineering (WIE) Learning Community brings together female engineering students and provides support as they pursue careers in the field of engineering. Learning communities at Michigan Tech offer like-minded students a common living area in Tech’s residence halls, providing them with additional social and academic support services. Living as part of the WIE learning community offers a team-oriented atmosphere for women who want to be successful in their academics while also enjoying everything Michigan Tech has to offer.

Students in the WIE learning community will enjoy extra faculty interaction, opportunities to network and get involved with the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and a wide array of fun programs and activities.

To join the Women In Engineering Learning community, simply apply via your housing application.
