CDI Training

The Center for Diversity and Inclusion's programming is designed first and foremost to benefit and retain students. Tech faculty and staff make use of these programs as important co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities. In addition to programs for students, we also offer programming for faculty and staff, both in terms of professional development opportunities for faculty and staff as well as diversity-related presentations for their classes.

Diversity Presentations

CDI offers a variety of workshops, facilitated discussions, trainings, and presentations to our campus community. A list of presentation offerings is currently being updated. Please contact cdi@mtu.edu for more information.

Leadership Development

This leadership presentation series aims to give personalized presentations to student organizations by request. Students may request presentations, workshops, and retreats.

Safe Place

The Michigan Tech Safe Place program is made up of a network of faculty, staff, student, and community member allies who serve as resources for individuals with questions or concerns related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) identities. Safe Place allies display the program logo, which lets students know that allies are committed to fostering a safe and supportive environment for LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, and staff.

Social Justice Lecture Series

Guest lecturers through the Social Justice Lecture Series present topics that encourage critical thinking, provoke healthy debate, and challenge assumptions.
