Native American Heritage Month

Native American Heritage Month Banner

Celebrated annually during November, Native American Heritage Month highlights the historical and contemporary accomplishments of American Indians and First Nations peoples.

Native American Heritage Month features a variety of information and programs that differ each year. Past years’ events have included:

  • speakers,
  • film screenings,
  • workshops, like a quill-earring-making night, and
  • educational events, such as an introduction to the Ojibwe language.

The month’s events are coordinated by the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) in conjunction with the Center for Diversity and Inclusion.
