Student Privacy
The University makes every effort to comply with the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a federal law that protects the privacy of a student’s educational record. Accordingly, we keep the student conduct process as confidential as possible. Once your student reaches 18 years of age or attends a postsecondary institution, he or she becomes an “eligible student.” Eligible students have the right to choose those to whom they give access to their confidential records.
The term "educational records" is defined as records that contain information directly related to a student and are maintained by an educational agency or institution or by a party acting for the agency or institution.
