Assistant or Associate Professor, Cognitive and Learning Sciences


Michigan Technological University seeks applicants for multiple tenure-track positions, in support of strategic program growth, at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Department of
Cognitive and Learning Sciences.

While all areas of expertise within a broadly defined Human Factors (HF) application will be considered, we are especially interested in candidates with expertise in HCI, health HF, automotive HF, UI/UX, training, intelligent tutoring, and/or instructional design. Successful candidates will complement our strengths in Decision Making, Computational Modeling, Physiology, Motor Behavior, Attention, Aging, Human Computer Interaction, and Video Games.

New faculty will benefit from supportive colleagues, new state-of-the-art laboratory equipment (NADS miniSim, Tobii Eye Tracker, EEG, fNIRS, KINARM Robotic Lab for motor behavior, motion capture), active learning classroom facilities, internal grant workshops, faculty mentoring, and cross-disciplinary collaboration opportunities.
