Teresa M. Schissler-Boichot

Teresa Schissler-Boichot took the advantage of a Tech education and achieved a singular career.
She worked for six years as a service representative, engineer, and product analyst at Caterpillar Inc. In 2006 she joined Patten Industries Inc. in Elmhurst, Ill., as product support manager. In 2007, she became vice president and then executive vice president of operations at National Management Resources (NMR) Corp., of LaGrange, Ga.
At Patten Industries, a dealer in heavy equipment and engines, she led 125 employees and was responsible for $31 million in sales. While there, she was certified as a master black belt in Six Sigma. At NMR, which provides services to private higher education, she oversaw 650 employees in eight states. Now she is employed in LaGrange as an independent senior sales director for Mary Kay Cosmetics, a company that does $2 billion in wholesale sales worldwide. She also is president of Boichot Consulting LLC; she teaches at two technical colleges and works with local companies to help them become more profitable by utilizing Six Sigma skills.
She has been active in the Society of Women Engineers, including being president as both a student and professional. She is a lifetime member and was a presenter at the SWE national convention in 2003.
While on campus, she also was active in the American Society of Civil Engineers; was a founding member and vice president of the campus chapter of Associated General Contractors; competed on the women’s varsity track team; was a member of Delta Zeta sorority; and was involved in campus ministry.
Her ambitious student life turned into an accomplished professional life.
