Michigan Tech's 2024 Spring Career Fair Forged by Nucor is this coming week! It will be held Tuesday (Feb. 13) from noon until 5 p.m. at the Student Development Complex.

Environmental Engineering Graduate Seminar with Sandeep Chaudhry

The next Environmental Engineering Graduate Seminar will take place at 3 p.m. on Monday (Feb. 12) in GLRC 202.

Sandeep Chaudhry, postdoctoral scholar, Department of Civil, Environmental, and Geospatial Engineering, Michigan Technological University, will present "Study on the Effect of Passive School Transport and In-cabin Ventilation Modes on Students’ Pollutant Exposure."

The CCHA has announced the 2023-24 All-Academic Team, and 21 Michigan Tech Huskies have been recognized.

Named CCHA Scholar-Athletes with a GPA of 3.50 or higher:

Women's Basketball Back Home Against Purdue Northwest, Parkside

For the first time in almost a month, the Michigan Tech women's basketball team is back at the SDC Gymnasium, hosting Purdue Northwest today (Feb. 8) and Parkside on Saturday (Feb. 10).

The Huskies will face the Pride at 5:30 p.m. tonight. The tip-off for Saturday's match against the Rangers will be at noon.

Hockey Welcomes Minnesota State on Winter Carnival

Michigan Tech hockey hosts Minnesota State in the annual Winter Carnival series this weekend.

The Huskies and Mavericks play at 7:07 p.m. tomorrow (Feb. 9) and 5:07 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 10) at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena.

The teams will play a total goal series for the MacInnes Trophy. A weekend MVP will also be awarded following Saturday's game.

ABC 10 covered the suspension of Michigan Tech’s 2023-24 Isle Royale winter study of wolves and moose. The National Park Service made the decision Jan. 30 after sustained warm weather made the ice unsafe for the researchers’ survey plane to land. It is the first time in the study’s 65-year history that warm weather has caused a suspension.

ICC Seminar Series Speaker: Evan Lucas

Today (Feb. 8) at 11 a.m. in Rekhi 101, Institute of Computing and Cybersystems (ICC) Research Scientist Evan Lucas will present a seminar on his research, specifically on a reference-free text segmentation metric, as well as a background on his research interests and his current research projects.

Lucas specializes in natural language processing, computer vision and more. Check out his research interests at the Institute of Computing and Cybersystems Staff page.
