Valencia, Spain—Study Abroad
Michigan Tech has an exchange student agreement with the University of Valencia (UPV). The 'Universidad Politécnica de Valencia' offers degree courses in the three different Spanish cycles or periods of higher education.
The “Universidad Politécnica de Valencia” is comprised of three campuses: Vera Campus, which is located in the city of Valencia. Gandía Campus, which is situated in the town of Gandía. (Province of Valencia). Alcoy Campus, which is situated in the town of Alcoy. (Province of Alicante).
The city of Valencia is the capital of the ‘Comunidad Valencian’ and the province of Valencia. It is located in the middle-east of Spain, on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. The city is considered the third largest city of the Spanish State.
The vast majority of lessons are taught in Spanish but UPV has more than 140 English courses. The Applied Linguistics Department of the UPV offers the course:“Spanish as a foreign language”, to exchange students who wish to study Spanish.

June 15 to begin your study period in September 2011 (first semester).
November 1 to begin your study period in February 2012 (second semester).
