The University of Salamanca continues this tradition of excellence to this day with a highly distinguished faculty doing research in 53 departments.
The university's 30,000 Spanish students have the opportunity to receive degrees in 58 different areas of specialty. In addition, 7,000 foreign students from all over the world take language and culture classes through Cursos Internacionales, the University Department that organizes these long tradition programs for international students.
