Malaga, Spain—Study Abroad

This program is offered through International Studies Abroad (ISA) at the University of Malaga. 

Málaga (pop. 600,000) is pleasantly nestled on the Mediterranean Sea and is considered to be the gateway to the Costa del Sol, one of the most popular holiday destinations in the world. A port city and industrial center, Málaga is a European tourist and business hub. It boasts some of the best fish and seafood cafes in the province. Málaga can boast of an exceptional climate year-round.

Málaga has a rich history that began with the Phoenicians, who first settled in the city, followed by the Greeks, the Romans, the Visigoths, the Byzantines, and the Moors. Málaga was incorporated into the kingdom of Castille in 1487. Today, Málaga is a modern city, with an important commercial port, airport and university. Málaga is a bustling place that is full of life and has something to offer every visitor.
