Istanbul, Turkey—Study Abroad
This program is offered through the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) at Bahçeşehir University. This program is ideal for students who are interested in studying in a city rich in nature, history, and culture at the literal crossroads of the world, where Europe meets Asia.
USAC, working in collaboration with Bahçeşehir University, will help you arrange a program of study to best suit your needs. Fields of study and a sample selection of courses believed to be of most interest to USAC students are included. This list of courses is subject to minor changes; course availability is subject to student interest and enrollment. Prerequisites for all courses will be verified during course registration.
A full-time load at Bahçeşehir University is 15-21 credits. Courses are usually 3 credits each, though some 2- and 4-credit courses are available, too. All courses are assigned both local and ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) credits. Students are required to attend all academic activities, such as lectures, studios, laboratories, and exams.
Contact the USAC Enrollment Department for more detailed course information.
The Istanbul program is administered in the US by the USAC Central Office and in Istanbul by Elena Şirin and the staff of the Office for International Students, who is responsible for the overall operations of the program abroad: securing appropriate student housing, organizing exciting field trips, and overseeing your general well-being. They will arrange your housing, assist you with registration, and provide the mandatory on-site orientation.
