Bristol, England—Study Abroad
Program is offered through the University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC). The Bristol program allows you to enroll in a wide range of courses in a variety of disciplines at the University of Bristol, one of the top-rated universities in England.
Bristol is the largest city in southwest England and only about 90 minutes from London by train. It is serviced by an international airport offering daily flights to and from many international locations, including Newark Liberty International.
Just a few of the choices are: Aeronautical Engineering, Archaeology, Computer Science, Drama, Geographical Sciences, Economics, History of Art, Earth Sciences, Philosophy, Politics and Sociology. A modular system allows you to create a personalized program of study by combining courses from different departments. You can even pursue American Studies, looking at your own land through the eyes of others. We do recommend you take at least one course in British Studies, such as Politics and Policy Making in the U.K. in order to make your stay in the United Kingdom more meaningful. Courses (units) are too numerous to list here. See USAC for your class options.
The Bristol program is administered in the U.S. by the USAC Central Office and in Bristol, England by a Program Coordinator, Tory Ribar. Tory is responsible for the overall operations of the program abroad: securing appropriate student housing, assisting with registration and academic matters and overseeing your general well-being.
