Michigan Tech maintains memberships and affiliations with a number of reputable organizations (providers/consortiums) through companies or other universities that arrange study abroad programs. Costs include a study abroad registration fee, program fee and may include housing (Michigan Tech Study Abroad Office pays these fees directly to the provider). Personal living and travel expenses are not included. NOTE: USAC offers both direct enroll (Partnership Programs) and USAC faculty-led (Specialty Programs).
Benefits of Study Abroad Providers
Study abroad organizations provide an interactive academic and social guidance throughout the semester and usually offer specialized courses, built-in excursions, and community service options. Providers also assist students with logistical arrangements (accommodations, travel, visas, etc.).
